VCSE Mental Health organisations across Coventry and Warwickshire are:
Consistently providing invaluable mental health support to our local communities, with demand for services increasing rapidly
Able to work quickly, flexibly and responsively
Able to provide strong links into the local communities
Able to share their expertise at a strategic and operational level
Yet, they are:
Overstretched: Many VCSE organisations are unable to attend the various meetings that would keep them up to date with the ever-changing landscape of the mental health sector
Unknown to, or overlooked by the statutory sector
Have difficulty applying for/accessing funding
Through alliance working, the VCSE Mental Health Alliance will build upon the fantastic work that VCSE's are already doing, whilst tackling together some of the problems currently faced.
Working together, the VCSE Mental Health Alliance will have the opportunity to:
Drive policy forward--> Alliance members will work together to identify the trends, challenges and priorities of their communities and with the help of our dedicated steering group, this means VCSE organisations across Coventry and Warwickshire can be at the heart of the design, delivery and improvement of mental health services.
Stay informed--> Member organisations will be kept informed of developments within the mental health sector, whether that's emerging needs of the area, or new funding opportunities.
Apply for funding--> The alliance will be exploring a funding vehicle that allows funding to flow through the alliance. This will enable organisations to individually or jointly apply for funding; depending on which service/services are best placed to deliver.
If you are interested in joining the alliance, or would simply like to find out more, please contact Sam or Fran at firstname.lastname@example.org.
VAC's VCSE Alliance is free and open to all organisations that meet the criteria.
