The week is organised as a series of activities and initiatives to support and raise awareness of the hundreds and thousands of small charities that, every day, make a huge difference to vulnerable communities right across the UK and the rest of the world.
Across the UK, communities are supported by over 166,000 voluntary organisations, the majority of them small. The NCVO define ‘small’ charities as those with an income under £100,000. If you’re a charity or voluntary organisation with an annual income of under £30,000, you can become an NCVO member for free. The cost of membership is dependent on your organisation’s annual income. Voluntary Action Coventry provide free support to all third sector organisations operating in Coventry; from grassroots Community Groups, small charities and large ones, social enterprises to sports clubs, faith groups and community interest companies.
