When we give we gain – when women thrive, we all rise – this is the theme for #IWD2026 and we just wanted to say a massive thank you to all our women volunteers who support us in delivering VAC services and projects.
Thank you to Tanya (for office support) and Angela (for helping us with our Improving Lives course) – your kindness, commitment and generosity with all that you do, help us so much.
And pictured here, Jo, Becki, Fran and Christelle support our Chat Central project. Jo (picture 1) is our wonderful refreshments volunteer – Jo greets everyone with a smile and a drink and cheers our sessions along. Becki (pic 2) and Fran (pic 3) donate their expertise, skills and time towards the Chat Central wellbeing sessions. Becki has delivered sessions on breath work and meditation and introduced participants to new activities such as her Goddess workshops. Fran has led incredible singing for wellbeing, drama sessions and motivational talks which have hugely benefitted our participants. And Christelle (pic 4), a talented artist, her shares her skills and passion to deliver Art workshops encouraging participants to develop their creative skills.
By giving time though volunteering, we can all make communities stronger and more connected.
