VOLUNTEER TASTER SESSIONS
Why not join in with a Chat Central volunteering taster session during Volunteers’ Week, happening at different organisations in Coventry.
Tues 3 June, Taster Session – St Francis Employability. 10.30 am – 12.30 pm, St Francis Church, CV6 3DQ
Join us for a two hour volunteer session at St Francis Employability. St Francis supports people in many different ways, so tasks will be varied, from sorting out food donations for lunch, assisting with food deliveries for the social supermarket to supporting on reception or helping with gardening tasks, it’s sure to be an interesting session. DROP-IN TO VOLUNTEER ADVICE SESSIONS
Our staff here at VAC can give you all the support you need to connect with your community.
Every week our friendly team run Volunteering drop-in sessions to help people find out more.
Where: Voluntary Action Coventry (VAC), Harp Place, Sandy Lane, Radford.
When: Mondays and Tuesdays. 10am-2pm
They’re free to attend and there’s no need to book – we look forward to seeing you!
IMPROVING LIVES SUPPORTED VOLUNTEERING COURSE – ENROLLING NOW
At ‘Improving Lives’ we help you to improve in confidence by making connections with organisations and charities in Coventry. We organise group visits to community organisations. But that’s not all we do – on the course there are engaging activities, discussions and support. You learn practice elements for applying for volunteer/work roles and access one-to-one support and guidance to help you with any barriers you are facing around volunteering or employment. Community Clean Up Opportunity
Join Voluntary Action Coventry to litter-pick a busy industrial estate that borders a nature reserve on Thursday 5 June. Help bring back community spirit during Volunteers’ Week! Mission possible! A team of community super-heroes are assembling for a morning of volunteering together, taking on the mission of greening up a patch of land in need of some TLC.
