Voluntary Action Coventry (VAC) is inviting Coventry people to get involved with Volunteers’ Week 1-7 June 2026 with a range of opportunities and activities designed to inspire community engagement. This national event celebrates the vital contributions that volunteers make in delivering essential services and also shines a light on the positive uplift that volunteering brings to those who get involved.

Now celebrating its 40th year, Volunteers’ Week is a national campaign recognising the invaluable contribution volunteers make in supporting essential services, strengthening communities, and improving the lives of others. The week also highlights the many personal benefits of volunteering, from building confidence and skills to creating stronger social connections.

A recent report found that regular volunteers in England and Wales number around 4.3 million people who contribute 308 million hours of work valued at between £3.8 and £5.6 billion.
