With the festive season just around the corner and the cold weather settling in, many voluntary organisations are publishing seasonal volunteering roles and looking for new volunteers to help out over this very busy period since their services are much in demand.

Here’s a selection of organisations in Coventry who need your help now:

Deafblind UK charity are recruiting for Seasonal Wellbeing Angels. As the days grow shorter and the nights longer, winter can be a challenging time for many of the people the charity supports. Feelings of isolation and low mood often increase, especially for those affected by night blindness or reduced light levels. This is where you could help out! Their Winter Wellness service brings warmth, connection, and companionship to those who need it most – if this sounds like something you could help with click on the link above.

Volunteering is an opportunity to explore and develop your interests. Caste Away Arts is a CIC that co-creates art and theatre with grassroots organisations and they are currently looking for Community Theatre volunteers to support upcoming projects.

Or how about a role involving fresh air and physical activity? Violet Project CIO are seeking a Walking Group Support Volunteer for their community walking group who meet twice a month. And Groundwork West Midlands, the People’s Patch have an outdoor session running from  10am until 3pm on Thursdays which includes a gentle well-being walk,  soup and hot drinks, and a gardening session.
