Volunteer – give your mental health a boost!
10 October is World Mental Health Day, we think looking after your mental health is important for every day. At Voluntary Action Coventry we know that volunteering can lift your spirits; we help people to actively engage with community action.
Volunteering is a good way to maintain your wellbeing. Helping others can give you a real sense of purpose, you’ll feel more connected, especially if you’re feeling a bit down or lonely. It’s amazing how doing something for others can lift your spirits and brighten your day. Whether it’s supporting a cause you care about, spending time with other people or just giving a little of your time, volunteering can leave you feeling happier and more confident. It’s a simple way to make a difference and feel better whilst doing it.
