Volunteers' Week Fair went with a bang!

VAC's Volunteer Fair on 6th June gave plenty of opportunity to celebrate and promote volunteering - and take a selfie or two!

As part of our Volunteers' Week celebrations, 16 different organisations joined us at our city centre venue to promote volunteering during our Volunteer Fair event.

The open day ran from 10am - 2pm and saw 48 people interested in volunteering drop by to chat with stall holders and find out more about roles. Attendees got a chance to use our selfie booth, and write their volunteering stories, hopes and experiences in our massive window display and guest book. And here's what some of our visitors had to say...

"Volunteering is doing something meaningful, with amazing people that makes a difference! Find your purpose in life, do something incredible. Volunteer!"

"Thanks for a fantastic event....had a great day and made lots of great new connections."

"Volunteering gave me confidence and helped me discover my passion"

"I want to do anything I can to help others and also improve my own self esteem and confidence!"

"Volunteering has found me employment, friends and helping others"
