Integrate Coventry May 2021 News

Integrate Coventry works with people who are non EU nationals and have long term leave to remain to help them to grow their lives and opportunities safely in the UK

Another busy few months for the Integrate Coventry (VAC) project. We have successfully completed our first intensive one day workshop “Skills for Volunteering” on confidence, communication, teamwork and team roles, alongside goal setting and future planning to help our clients to grow their skills ready for a placement in a volunteer role or employment.

Our next longer term 6 – 8 week course start on 21 May, currently on Zoom, 10 to 11.30am

Seven people have attended our Working with Refugees course
Comments included:

“I didn’t know much about the asylum system I now know much more than before”
“very informative and a good reminder”
"We are in the process of reviewing our policies and we would like to work with you”
"I enjoyed the session”

The next exciting “Working with refugees” will be announced soon for July 2021

We have been working with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, City of Culture 2021, Coventry Cathedral, Fab Lab and many more, exploring avenues to provide people with volunteer placements, when Covid restrictions are lifted, and people feel safer.

If you are interested in any of the courses, want to offer volunteer placements, or know of someone who would benefit from the sessions or support from Integrate Coventry, please let us know.
