Volunteers Week is on its way

Volunteering England have been busy preparing the new look of the Volunteers' Week website, sourcing some great new merchandise and working with many organisations to highlight the fantastic role that volunteers play in our community.

Celebrated from 1-7 June each year, the Week is a chance for you to either thank your volunteers, recruit more of them and also tell the wider community about the contribution that they make. This year's theme will be Celebrating and Inspiring, when we hope to draw attention to volunteering by using inspirational role models within the community to show the amazing experiences that can come about through volunteering. If you're working with an inspirational volunteer who has achieved something special, consider offering them to use as a case study.

The Volunteer Centre & vinvolved team at Voluntary Action Coventry are currently planning a timetable of activities for Volunteers Week including a Volunteering Information Fair aimed primarily at engaging volunteers aged 16-25 but will be open to all volunteers and a coffee morning on Saturday 5th June, where we will be promoting volunteering to the general public.
If you would like to find out more about the activities being planned please contact Nicolette Potton on 024 7622 0381 or n.potton@vacoventry.org.uk
