Groundwork West Midlands are looking for a Volunteer Project Assistant for the Cook and Eat Well Project.
Cook and Eat Well in Coventry have an exciting project working across the city helping people to cook and eat well. It is a valuable opportunity to gain practical voluntary experience working on a community cooking project. Volunteering with Groundwork West Midlands, graduates will gain skills in event planning and benefit from hands on experience within the third sector all centred around our Cook and Eat Well project.
Groundwork's Graduate Volunteering scheme has been running for four years. It is widely recognised as a pioneering and unique scheme providing valuable hands on experience to graduate volunteers in the community, environmental, educational, regeneration and sustainable development fields.
This role will work out at their Coventry office. Cook and Eat Well is a community cooking project operating in communities across the city, the programme aims to promote good nutrition, improve healthy eating and develop the population's cooking skills. Volunteers on this project will gain skills: planning and delivering taster sessions, events and public courses; managing community events; partnership working; project reporting, monitoring and evaluation.
