VAC’s Children’s Workforce Development Project draws to a successful conclusion
A big thank you to Rachel Evans for all her hard work as this project draws to a close. The recent training has been very well supported - 88 places were filled by 43 people from 19 organisations across the six workshops, and 9 people took part in the local authority's induction training which Rachel helped open up to the voluntary sector, with 5 more on a waiting list (thanks also to Anthony Cox for his role in this).
You can see the legacy of this project's work by clicking here: http://www.vacoventry.org.uk/childrens-workforce-development-0.
We'll be uploading the final versions of the documents (such as the Every Child Matters Self-Assessment tool that Rachel developed) shortly but there's alot of useful material on there right now, including how to access local and relevant training.
Thanks also to Anthony Cox, Claire Cheney and Kim West from Coventry City Council for co-writing the bid and serving on the Steering Group, and to everyone else who has helped with its delivery. Although the funding is finishing, we will be looking at ways of maintaining the momentum, including continuing access to joint induction training.
