As part of the research we developed an assessment tool to help organisations to identify what they are doing well and areas in which they could improve. Some people found it useful to get staff and volunteers across their organisation to complete the survey; others completed it at staff/volunteer meetings; in some cases the manager completed it on their own. It is quite straight forward to use and includes suggestions about where to get further support in relation to any issues identified.
