This workshop aims to explore how voluntary sector organisations can safeguard and protect the children and young people with whom they work.

By the end of the workshop participants should be able to:

 understand what ‘safeguarding' and ‘child protection' mean

 recognise how they can safeguard children and young people within their role

 describe the actions they need to take if they have concerns about a child or young person

 identify areas of further information/support they need n relation to safeguarding and child protection
