As part of the Migration Impact Fund, Voluntary Action Coventry in partnership with Coventry Peace House is organising an Art Exhibition to take place during Refugee Week 2010 at Glasshouse Exhibition Hall, Earl Street , Coventry. The exhibition will be launched on Mon-day 14th June 2010 at 12:00 noon and it will run until Friday 18th June.

This is an excellent opportunity for members of Migrant and New Communities to share their experiences of living in Coventry through art.

This exhibition aims to foster harmony by identifying the contribution of New Communities to the cultural diversity of the City and adds new flavours to the existing art culture.

How to take part?

To display your art work at this exhibition you need to read the Terms and Conditions and complete the entry form (attached below). You can display your existing work or take part in one of the workshops planned to take place before the exhibition. Entry and the workshops are free. Participants will also have a chance to sell their art work at the exhibition.

What we are looking for?

The theme of the Exhibition is to portray the integration of New Communities in Coventry. Any art work produced around your experience of life in Coventry is welcomed, including paintings, drawings and photographs.

Key Dates:

Art Workshops: Tuesday 4th and Tuesday 11th May 2010, 9:30 am to 12:00 noon

Submission of work to Coventry Peace House: Tuesday 18th May 2010, 10:00am to 8:00pm

Collection of work if not selected: Tuesday 25th May 2010, 10:00am to 12:30pm

Exhibition Launch: Monday 14th June 2010, 12:00 noon at Glasshouse Exhibition Hall, Earl Street Coventry
