VAC Trustee-directors fulfil an essential role, ensuring our organisation continues to support community activity in Coventry.

        Healthwatch Coventry 

Information and Communications Officer

  • Hours: 37 hours per week  (Generally office hours, with some evening and/or weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given)
  • Salary: NJC scale pt. 21 £25,801 per annum, 7% employer pension contribution
    NB: the current funding agreement for the delivery of Healthwatch by VAC runs to 31 July 2023, however the function of local Healthwatch is ongoing.
  • Location: Office/home based with some time in health and social care and community settings

Healthwatch Coventry  

Engagement and Volunteer Co-ordinator

  • Hours: 32 hours per week - Work outside post holder’s normal working hours, evening and/or weekend work to support Healthwatch activity is required.
  • Location: Office/home based with significant time in community and health and care settings

Counselling Team Leader - CRASAC

  • Hours: Part-time / 20 hours per week (15 hours management and 5 hours of clinical practice)
  • Responsible to: Strategic Lead for Therapeutic Services
  • Salary: £ 30,785 to £34,788 (dependent on experience)

Job Purpose:

To work in partnership with a second counselling team leader and under the direction of the Strategic Lead for Therapeutic Services to develop the counselling service which encompasses a range of services suitable for sexual violence victims/survivors, supporters and their families aged 5 years upwards.

To work in partnership with the Strategic Lead for Therapeutic services to ensure that the Counselling service operates to the highest standard of efficiency and quality of practice to
meet client’s needs.

To support the operational management of the Children and Families Counselling service on a day to day basis, ensuring that the quality of practice and performance management frameworks are implemented across the team.

To provide support, development and management supervision to the Counsellors and support the review and development of counselling services with the senior management team, including the embedding of online counselling services.

To ensure operational and performance reporting systems are in place and are actively managed in line with best practice and funding requirements.

Represent CRASAC externally when requested and to act as a Designated Safeguarding Officer, alongside a team of 5 others.

Operational management of specific projects and to carry a small caseload to support with counselling assessments and our time limited crisis counselling service for adult clients.

Volunteer Counselling Coordinator - CRASAC

  • Hours: Part-time between 22.5 to 30 hours per week 15 hours management plus 7.5 to 15 hours (negotiable) clinical practice

  • Salary: FTE £31,371 per annum, pro rata for part-time- [ Actual salary from £19,076 to £25,435 depending on hours ]

CRASAC is an award-winning charity providing specialist counselling, advocacy and support services to survivors of sexual violence and abuse in the Coventry area.

We are looking for a female Volunteer Counselling Coordinator to join our committed team. You will be responsible for the ongoing coordination of the volunteer counselling service and for ensuring that it is consistently high quality and responsive to the needs of the service users and community.

You will provide management supervision to the volunteer counsellors, and represent CRASAC in a professional manner.

You will have a recognised Diploma or Degree in integrative/ humanistic counselling/ psychotherapy. You will have experience of supervising or managing staff and excellent written and oral communication skills, including report writing. You will have extensive post-qualification clinical practice experience working with trauma / childhood sexual abuse/sexual abuse/violence.
