VAC are a registered ASDAN Centre. ASDAN is an education charity and awarding body. They provide curriculum programmes and qualifications to equip learners to thrive in 21st Century education, work and life.  Developed and managed by practitioners, ASDAN grew out of research work at the University of the West of England in the 1980s and was formally established as an educational charity in 1991.

ASDAN programmes and qualifications are widely recognised by educators for providing an engaging curriculum that empowers students through personalised learning and choice. The courses motivate and enhance learners' confidence, self-esteem and resilience. In addition, learners develop core skills in teamwork, communication, problem solving, research and self-management.
