Accessing support

There are several ways in which you can access the support services VAC provides:

One-to-One development support appointment

If you would like to arrange a one-to-one development support appointment with an advisor please email  We generally hold meetings with you in VAC offices or alternatively can arrange to meet you offsite. These meetings are normally scheduled during our normal office hours between 9.00am - 5.00pm Tuesday - Thursday though in exceptional circumstances we may agree to meet with you outside of our normal working hours.

Please note that with a large number of members to support our service is generally oversubscribed, we will try to offer you an appointment within two weeks of your initial query, occasionally during periods of high demand you may need to wait a bit longer.

We are happy to meet with either groups or individuals who represent organisations or who are seeking to start voluntary or community organisations in Coventry.

During the initial advice session the advisor will establish what support is needed, how VAC can support you, and agree actions to be completed to help you achieve your goals whether writing a constitution or bidding for funding to run a community project. Generally a follow up meeting is scheduled to review progress and agree further actions if necessary.

We work at your pace and provide advice and support rather than doing the actions for you (unless you have requested this) our advisors role is to help you develop the skills within your group to perform the actions successfully without our support in the future.

Registering your group as a VAC member

Before you attend a session we ask that you become a member of Voluntary Action Coventry, subject to eligibility. The benefits of membership and fees can be found in Join Us.
