Festive Favours - “Give the Gift of Time”
December is the season of goodwill and a time when people are often more receptive to helping others. Last year a new trend started - people donated money to loved ones favourite charities rather than buying gifts. This year, with the credit crunch and youth unemployment at record levels, young people may find it increasingly difficult to pay for gifts or donate money again.
Reps-Net
Members of the TSA Steering Group are developing the agenda for a new bi-annual event which will bring together representatives from the voluntary sector to share experiences and discuss issues. The first Reps-Net meeting is due to be held 6th March 2012, venue and time are yet to be confirmed.
TSA Election
Elections to identify representatives to stand on the TSA Steering Group and to represent the Sector at the Coventry Partnership Board are underway. Any member of VAC (fully renewed 2011/12) can nominate a candidate for election and VAC's membership forms the electorate.
