This document from the Secretary of State for Health was published just before Christmas.  It contains a change of policy regarding community health services. PCTs around the country are now being asked to develop plans for the transfer of the management of community health services to another provider either a hospital trust, Mental Health Trust, GP Commissioning Group. Previous policy was to for Community Health Services to be floated off to become new independent organisations.  NHS Coventry is beginning work to come up with and consult upon a plan of action for community health services in Coventry. This will be on the agenda of the LINk Steering group on 3 February 2010.
