Vacancy: Volunteering Development Officer x2

The Myton Hospices Volunteering Development Team is going through a period of expansion, and an exciting opportunity has arisen for two full time experienced Volunteering Development Officers to join the team.

Volunteering Development Officer (two roles available) at The Myton Hospices
Salary - £24,480
Hours – Full time – 37.5 hours
Location – Based at Warwick Myton Hospice but with regular travel to all of our sites across Coventry & Warwickshire

The Myton Hospices are committed to the delivery of high quality palliative care and enabling those with life limiting illnesses to live well. Supporting them with this is a team of over 1,000 volunteers who work within all areas of Myton, from direct patient contact roles, roles that help to support the smooth day-to-day running of our hospices, to roles based within retail and fundraising.

Their Volunteering Development Team is going through a period of expansion, and an exciting opportunity has arisen for two full time experienced Volunteering Development Officers to join the team. At Myton they recognise the potential to expand their volunteer team to help strengthen and enhance the work that they do. The role will involve supporting line managers in recruiting, developing, engaging and retaining volunteers within their team to ensure a positive volunteering experience.

Ideal applicants will have had previous experience of the recruitment, management and support of volunteers, with a working knowledge of volunteering best practice. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working alongside line managers to support them to engage fully with their volunteer resource. Tney are seeking motivated, enthusiastic, volunteer management professionals, who have excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people.
