Register now for the NHS Coventry and Rugby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Annual General Meeting (AGM)
On behalf of the NHS CCG
Wednesday, 18th July 2018
The Benn Hall, Newbold Road, Rugby, CV21 2LN
09.30 am - 12.00 pm
Our AGM will give you an insight into the work the CCG has undertaken over the last year and the positive impact and improved outcomes this has enabled.
Presentations will be made by CCG Chair, Dr Sarah Raistrick and Accountable Officer, Andrea Green, summarising where we have excelled, where we have further to go and where our focus needs to be for the year ahead.
But our AGM isn’t just about telling you what we have done; we also want to hear from you. The second part of the session will give you the chance to share your ideas on some of the key areas we are working on to improve the health and wellbeing of people in Coventry and Rugby.
The areas we will be covering are:
• Supporting mental health – with a focus on dementia, eating disorders and the work undertaken in the area to help prevent suicide.
• Frailty, older people and carers – how do we improve how healthcare is delivered in the community? How can services be more integrated and delivered closer to home? How do we support independence and healthier living?
• Preventative and proactive – people are living longer, but more people are living with long-term health conditions - we need to understand the difference between living well vs living longer, helping people make choices today to improve their health for the future.
• Maternal, child & young people health – how do we better integrate services to make them more joined up, share best practice and improve the lives of families and young people? How do we respond to the national “Better Births” review to make sure our services are safer, more personalised, kinder, professional and more family friendly?
So, if you have an interest in these areas or any other aspects of healthcare in Coventry and Rugby, we urge you to come along and have your say to help shape how services are delivered in the future.
Please feel free to circulate this email to your partners and/or groups who may have an interest in attending.
