  • We established the VCSE Alliance offer to voluntary, community and social enterprises in Coventry – which has grown throughout the year and now includes almost 200 active members.

  • We have maintained the Health and Social Care Directory linked to CRCCG website detailing VCSE organisations providing health and social care services in Coventry.

  • We also supported VCSE Alliance members to engage in dialogue around Coventry’s Health & Well-being Strategy, the NHS long-term plan, Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and Housing First and explored their role in cascading health messages to their users/community.

  • We ensured the voluntary sector had opportunities to influence/inform solutions to achieve better health outcomes for people in Coventry.

  • We helped volunteer involving organisations fill their vacancies through our online searchable data base of volunteers

  • We maintained our involvement as a delivery partner in both Accelerate and Progress funded through ESF/BBO (European Social Fund and Building Better Opportunities Fund).

  • We also continued delivery of ESF Exceed and ConnectMe programmes in collaboration with Coventry City Council, Coventry University and other VCS partners.

  • We also started work on the Your future, Your integration project in partnership with Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre and Foleshill Women’s Training funded by the Asylum Migration and Integration Fund.

  • In September 2018 we started our Henry Smith funded Improving Lives project aimed at supporting people with multiple barriers into volunteering and if appropriate into employment.

  • We delivered an Armed Forces Covenant Fund project focused on helping integrate ex-service personnel and their families into civilian life.

  • We helped 507 people find volunteering roles.

  • In February 2019, we provided funding to small grassroots groups through the Coventry 4 Good fund, enabling them to provide activities with/for disadvantaged communities.
