Mental Health First Aid is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.
This certificated two day course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider.
The course is suitable for anyone who comes into contact with or supports people experiencing mental health issues.
This course will help you to :
- Have a deeper understanding of the issues that impact on and relate to people’s mental health
- Grasp practical skills that can be used every day, including being able to spot the signs and symptoms of mental health issues
- Be confident guiding people towards appropriate support
- Understand Mental Health First Aid including depression, suicidal crisis, anxiety, personality disorders, eating disorders, self-harm, psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder
