Adult Mental Health First Aid - 15th and 22nd May 2018

Voluntary Action Coventry are holding Adult Mental Health Training.

Mental Health First Aid is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.

This certificated two day course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider. 

The course is suitable for anyone who comes into contact with or supports people experiencing mental health issues.

This course will help you to :

  • Have a deeper understanding of the issues that impact on and relate to people’s mental health
  • Grasp practical skills that can be used every day, including being able to spot the signs and symptoms of mental health issues
  • Be confident guiding people towards appropriate support
  • Understand Mental Health First Aid including depression, suicidal crisis, anxiety, personality disorders, eating disorders, self-harm, psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder
