Your Future Your Integration, A project to integrate refugees into the wider community of Coventry, through Voluntary Action Coventry, Foleshill Women’s Training and Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre are running two exciting courses, Skills for Volunteering and Employment and How to….manage refugees as volunteers, starting in October.

Skills for Volunteering and Employment: The next one starts on 8 October 2020, 1pm to 2.30pm on Zoom, with course materials

Skills for Volunteering and Employment is an 8 week course, blended and online learning   which looks at team building, goal setting, communication, strengths and weaknesses, people’s skills and an additional section on the  history of  the UK and Coventry and much  more. This course id designed for refugees, asylum seekers and people who feel they are stuck and want to move forward. At the end of the course there is a visit to Stratford Upon Avon to look at some of the local heritage. This is for people who have successfully completed the course.

How to…. manage refugees as volunteers: 1 October 2.00 to 4.00pm on Zoom

The next working with refugees as volunteers course, an exciting opportunity to learn about some of the barriers, myths and perceptions, as well as practical information about working with refugees.
