‘My PQASSO Diary’ and ‘My VISIBLE diary’
A number of groups have now started to take an interest and engage in the two Quality Assurance Systems (QAS); PQASSOTM and VISIBLETM that are being supported under the Quality and Governance Project.
Implementation of either system is an activity that takes place over a number of months in order is to support your group to make positive changes. Both systems provide the chance to aspire to higher standards as well as put in place necessary improvements to make sure that you are ‘fit for purpose'.
Two groups have agreed to share their QAS ‘journey'. One group is Kairos (Women Working Together) who are implementing PQASSO and the other group is Holbrooks Community Association who is implementing the VISIBLE operating standards for community organisations.
In their first ‘diary' for January 2010 each group describe how they found out about the relevant QAS, first steps to implementation and current challenges. Each group have agreed to provide an update every couple of months and hopefully this will give other groups an insight into ‘what it is like' to put in place quality improvements.
