Meet the Landfill Communities Funders
This session provides you with an opportunity to meet not one but two funders and find out more about local opportunities to access funding through the Landfill Communities Fund. The funds support community buildings and projects, environmental volunteering and environmental projects.

SITA Trust is an ethical funding organisation dedicated to making lasting improvements to the natural environment and community life. The Trust is a not-for-profit company, a registered and accredited environmental body that operates under the Landfill Communities Fund distributing funds donated by the recycling and resource management company SITA UK.
Since 1997 when SITA Trust began its funding programmes the Trust has supported more than 3000 projects to a combined value of more than £83m.
WREN (Waste Recycling Environmental Ltd) is a not-for-profit business that helps benefit the lives of people who live close to landfill sites by awarding grants for community, conservation and heritage projects.
Their directors, staff and the members of the regional advisory panels are fully committed to enhancing the community environment, natural conservation and heritage aspects of the world in which we live and create a beneficial and lasting legacy for future generations.
SITA Trust Programmes Manager Andrew Saunders and WREN's Regional Grants Manager Matt Cox will provide you with the inside track on what their grant panels look for in a successful project, outline the schemes eligibility criteria and support you to assess whether their funds are a good fit for your project ideas.
