The trust is one of the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts and focuses on environmental education in the UK. In particular it supports projects that focus on: finding practical ways of involving children and young adults; sustainable agriculture and bio-diversity; sustainable transport; energy efficiency and renewable energy; and youth work that supports the rehabilitation of young people involved in antisocial or criminal activities.
