Mabel MuuduriMabel Muuduri from Imani has visited Dublin, and other Irish towns and cities, to explore the positive impact of "Mens Sheds" on Men's health and well being. The model looks at meeting men where they hang out- for example the pub, the community centre or the shed, to encourage them to participate in health services. By taking issues about health to places where men feel comfortable, the idea is to increase the number of men undergoing screening and having health checks!

Imani is a group of primarily women in Coventry, who work to increase people's confidence, mental and physical well being through making clothes, and learning about health issues that affect them, particularly STIs, HIV and Aids.

Mabel, is now looking to develop a Mens Shed in Coventry.
