This is ideal for staff moving up to the next level of management.  The course looks at leaders and defines the criteria for a good leader.  The importance of the TASK and the TEAM is introduced, and focus is given on how to delegate and give staff feedback.

By the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:

• Define the term ‘Leadership'
• Think about leadership as having two 'factors' or areas of concern, the TASK and the TEAM
• Understand the difficulties involved in formulating clear, precise instructions
• Identify the tasks in their jobs which should be delegated, and the effects of delegating too much or too little
• Use their skills when giving both good and bad feedback
