Home Library Service

This free monthly service is operated by Coventry Libraries and Information Services in partnership with Age Concern Coventry for elderly and disabled people throughout the city who cannot get to their local library.   Around 250 people are visited each month by volunteers from Age Concern, delivering books, talking books and music CDs.  All the volunteers are very friendly and they have of course been carefully checked to ensure they are suitable to provide the service.   Many of our customers who can no longer use a library are quite isolated and welcome the visits, seeing the service as a lifeline.   We are looking to expand the service to reach more people throughout the city, particularly in Stoke Aldermoor.

Anyone interested in receiving the service, or anyone who knows someone who would like the service, is invited to contact Graham Partridge on Coventry 7678 6990 or Age Concern on Coventry 7623 1999.
