Funding Advice
Coventry Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership (CYPSP) has a funding advice officer, based within Coventry City Council's Children, Learning and Young People's Directorate. The funding officer offers advice and support to voluntary and community organisations on the availability of external funding opportunities and can help to form partnerships in order to access some of the larger grants. She is also registered to use Grantfinder, a web based database with up-to-date information on grants and trusts currently offering funding. Training
Common Induction training. This free training covers a whole range of themes relating to work with children and young people. To find out more, go to the Children's Workforce Development training page.
Artemis is an interactive online course aimed at people working with children and young people. It covers all the themes outlined above but is entirely online and so can be completed at a time and place to suit you. To find out more go to www.artemis-online.org.uk
Warwickshire Children and Young People's Workforce have developed some training materials that you can use yourself. Their website also has some great resources that you can download for free. Go to www.warchyp.org.uk/Train for more information.
Coventry's Local Safeguarding Children's Board runs a range of training courses throughout the year covering general subjects like safeguarding and child protection, as well as more specialist topics like domestic violence, forced marriage and honour based crime.
