What is a favour?

"Removing the formality and wording of volunteering opportunities" v the national youth volunteering charity aim to make volunteering more accessible, understandable and credible for young volunteers. "Volunteering = seen as an alien concept, requiring behavioural change & social sacrifice

Favours = something all of us do everyday, understood by all - regardless of background".

Festive favours, new years resolutions have influenced this campaign. Following on from the Whats Your v campaign, vinvolved Coventry will be working across the city in the new year to promote youth volunteering. They will be providing taster events for young people to get involved in, favours roadshow - attending colleges and community venues and holding favours events and information sessions, holding a speed dating event for organizations and potential young volunteers to meet.

The team want to create a real buzz amongst young people and make volunteering a option that they all want to take up.
