This workshop aims to explore ways of ensuring that work with children and young people promotes equality and values diversity whilst building community cohesion

By the end of the workshop participants should be able to:

 Recognise a range of equality and diversity issues affecting the communities in which they work

 Know about current equalities legislation and how it relates to their role

 Suggest some strategies for addressing inequalities and supporting diversity in work with children and young people

 Identify areas of further information/support they need n relation to equality and diversity
