Coventry Third Sector Assembly Mini-conference & VAC AGM
Place: St Mary's Guild Hall
An exciting opportunity to participate in the Third Sector Assembly conference which will feature the following seminars as well as an update on the current work of the Assembly, plans for further activity and information on how you can get involved.
Seminar 1: The role of the Third Sector Assembly in Coventry
What can the Third Sector Assembly achieve? How will it influence and help shape the future development of Coventry? How will it reflect the issues and expertise of all voluntary and community groups (no matter what size) in decision making in the City?
Seminar 2: Thinking ahead
How can you develop an effective strategy for the future? How will you survive external changes and forces? This seminar led by the Third Sector Foresight Officer at NCVO will help you think ahead.
Seminar 3: The recession - how was it for you?
How has the economic downturn impacted on you? What changes have you made or will you be forced to make? This seminar will explore creative solutions to meeting the challenges of the recession and will include presentations from a range of organisations willing to share their experiences.
Seminar 4: Volunteers - who are they and what do they do?
The Third Sector could not exist without the support of its volunteers, but who are these people, and why are they willing to give their time? Has the volunteer ‘workforce' changed as a result of the economic climate and if so in what way? This seminar will celebrate and recognise the role of the volunteer, identify local demographic changes and explore how organisations can capitalise on opportunities to develop volunteering.
This event is open to participants from all sectors. To register your interest in attending please contact Marian McGowan on 024 7622 0381 or email m.mcgowan@vacoventry.org.uk or complete the booking form here
