Community Matters (a national umbrella organisation that supports and campaigns on behalf of the community association sector) is going to be running FREE seminars in September on trustee recruitment and retention.

They will promote best practice and ideas on effective recruitment and retaining of trustees. The seminars will also involve interactive sessions on using a web based resource recently developed by the National Council of Voluntary Organisations in collaboration with Community Matters, NAVCA and the Community Sector Coalition to help small voluntary and community organisations find, recruit, induct and keep trustees (this was featured in VAC's June 2010 e bulletin)

The events will run on the 14th September in Newcastle; 20th September in Birmingham; and 22nd September in Bristol. See the Community Matters website for further details http://www.communitymatters.org.uk/
