Dancing with Joy!
Mercurial Arts are celebrating having been awarded a £46,000 grant from the Arts Council which will enable them to undertake a series of dance performances in public squares in the city in the lead up to the Olympics. This funding will also allow the organisation to develop structural to ensure they can build on the legacy of previous successful project such as the Bubble Chamber and Building Sights projects. New Move
Congratulations to the Bawar Association in Coventry who have just taken ownership of their first premises in Stoney Stanton Road, the group undertook a successful fundraising campaign generating from donations the money to purchase the site. The group who support the city's Kurdish community will initially be seeking to provide activities for children and young people. The organisation have recently received from the Group Support Project to register as a charity and if you would like to know more about the organisation's work please contact Zana Ahmed at bawarassociationincoventry@gmail.com.
