Events are being held to share Coventry's Vision for Personalisation and an outline of activities already in progress in the City.  Brian Walsh, Director of Community Services, Coventry City Council and Barbara Pointon, Alzheimer's Ambassador are amongst the keynote presenters. The events will take place on Friday 5^th March 2010, 09:30 - 15:30 and Friday 26^th March 2010, 09:30 - 15:30. There is no charge to attendees and event themes cover aspects of the personalisation agenda.  Delegates are invited from the following groups within Coventry:  service users, carers, providers and local authority representatives.

Workshop sessions will be run to explore issues and discuss solutions within the following areas:

• Person centred planning and funding
• Balancing Independence and choice with safeguarding
• Service user and carer perspective
• Market management
• Promoting independence
