April- Managers Meeting Point: Presentation and discussion on PQASSO^TM quality standards for voluntary and community organisations. The presentation was delivered by Mirella Grillo of Charities Evaluation Services (CES) who publish PQASSO. Again delegates found the event ‘Very Useful' and felt that they could now make an informed choice (or recommendation to their boards) about using this QAS.

Some FREE PQASSO workbooks were available from VAC to support groups to implement this system and many have been taken up (more FREE workbooks available for those groups who are interested in implementing; contact Kate Harris if interested)

Towards the end of April going into May and June we turned our attention to support activities for Good Governance. The topics that we focused on were directly informed from feedback that we have had from groups in the previous year (information from Funding Advice Group Support feedback activities).

April- Trustee Meeting Point: Presentation and discussion on ‘Roles and Responsibilities of a Trustee'. The event was delivered and facilitated by Loriane Hayley Quality and Training Officer at WCAVA (Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action). 100% of delegates (who completed evaluation forms) found the activity ‘Very Useful' and stated that they had a better understanding of the role of a trustee.

A follow on ‘surgery' session with Loraine and Kate was also available for groups to utilise as well as one to one group support with our Funding Advise Group Support Team on governance topics and issues.
